Schola Cantorum's Summer Sings Program continues

Schola Cantorum Silicon Valley’s Summer Sings Program, which brings together music-lovers to sing the works of the great composers under the baton of renowned California conductors, is scheduled 7:30 p.m. Monday and Aug. 12 at Los Altos United Methodist Church, 655 Magdalena Ave.

The program is designed for anyone interested in learning about the masterpieces and singing with a community.

• Monday: Kristina Nakagawa, artistic director of Resounding Achord in San Jose and choir director at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Willow Glen, will conduct Vaughan Williams’ “Dona Nobis Pacem.”

• Aug. 12: Ofer dal Lal, artistic director of the San Francisco Bay Area Chamber Choir and director of WomenSing, will conduct Verdi’s “Requiem.”

Admission is $17 per program; students under 25 are free with ID. Cost-savings FLEXPasses are available.
