At the Library - Week of Dec. 19

The following free events are scheduled at the Los Altos main library, 13 S. San Antonio Road. Events are held in the Orchard Room unless otherwise noted. For more information, call 948-7683 or visit sccl.org/losaltos.

• 6:30-8:30 p.m. today: A winter paper-crafting activity is scheduled, part of the library’s Crafts After Dark Adult/Teen Craft Program. The event is free, no registration is required and supplies will be provided.

• 7 p.m. Jan. 22: A book discussion for adults will center on Francis Spufford’s “Golden Hill,” a novel based in old New York.

• 7 p.m. Jan. 29: Artist Bruce Munro and Kelly Sicat, director of the Sally and Don Lucas Artists Residency Program at Montalvo Arts Center, are scheduled to discuss the inspiration behind Munro’s current exhibition at Montalvo, “Stories in Light.” Munro will share his passion for light as a medium and discuss the process by which he develops immersive light-based installations as a means to create a shared human experience.
