Artists invite public into workspaces for Silicon Valley Open Studios

Artists in Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View will open their studios to the public during Silicon Valley Open Studios.

The free annual event enables visitors to mingle with artists in their workspaces. Studios in Los Altos and Los Altos Hills will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 5, 6, 12 and 13. Mountain View studios will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 12 and 13.

More than 375 artists in approximately 160 locations on the Peninsula, in the South Bay and in coastal cities will display their art over three weekends. The artists work in a variety of visual media, including painting, fiber arts, printmaking, mixed media, jewelry, photography, sculpture and ceramics. The art – except for photographs and prints – is one-of-a-kind.

In addition to showcasing established talent, Silicon Valley Open Studios attracts emerging artists.
