The city of Los Altos’ fall recreation programming is set to begin Monday with in-person classes.
After re-evaluating the pandemic situation, Recreation and Community Services personnel opted to resume in-person outdoor classes while hosting various virtual options for the fall season.
Registration is open, with sessions running through Dec. 12. The registration period includes the holiday season, which runs Dec. 21-23 and 28-31 and Jan. 4-8.
“Our department has worked diligently to ensure all fall programming meets the county’s health standards,” said Donna Legge, director of Recreation and Community Services. “While this is not a full return to in-person programming, we believe it’s a firm starting point to achieving a sense of normalcy.”
The fall season will include various sports, music and arts-related programs and classes for youth hosted by external organizations and instructors.
No in-person classes for seniors are scheduled, but the Adult 50+ program will continue to offer a host of virtual experiences.
