Nonprofit seeks volunteers to help homebound residents

Perfect Strangers, a national nonprofit organization that provides delivery services for vulnerable populations, seeks local volunteers to help buy groceries, pick up prescriptions and deliver other supplies to homebound residents.

Perfect Strangers focuses on serving seniors, those who are immunocompromised, front-line workers and other at-risk residents. It operates throughout the Bay Area, as well as in Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

Volunteer roles include delivering goods, distributing or posting information and grocery shopping. Hours are flexible and on an as-needed basis.

Jocelyn Lambert, who volunteered for the Los Altos History Museum last year, serves as volunteer development lead for Perfect Strangers in the South Bay. She said the nonprofit has developed partnerships locally with The Health Trust and Second Harvest Food Bank.

“Perfect Strangers is currently in the process of building up our services and volunteer base in the South Bay region,” she said. “Like myself, many people may be looking for ways to support others during this difficult time.”
