PA Humane Society's Daisy's Day raises money for vet services

The Palo Alto Humane Society’s annual Daisy’s Day fundraiser is scheduled 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Quadrus Conference Center, 2400 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park.

The event supports the veterinary needs of pets in underserved families throughout the Peninsula, raising money for sick and injured animals serviced by the Palo Alto Humane Society, which includes Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View. One of the Humane Society’s goals is to provide emergency veterinary services for pets whose owners may not have funds for lifesaving intervention.

The fundraiser is named after shelter dog Daisy, who required a lot of medical attention that her new owner was not able to afford. The dog’s owner then donated money to the society, launching the fund that now covers everything from emergency room visits to surgeries and end-of-life care for pets.

Daisy’s Day will feature wine, a vegan lunch with Impossible Burgers and auction items including artwork, jewelry, fine wines and more.

Tickets are $75.

For tickets and more information, call 424-1901 or visit paloaltohumane.org.
