Yvonne Newhouse’s “A Voice of Many” is among the works slated for display in “Layers.”

The exhibition “Layers,” featuring the work of members of the Women’s Caucus for Art’s Peninsula Chapter, is scheduled for display September through March at Los Altos Hills Town Hall, 26379 W. Fremont Road.

Founded in 1972 in connection with the College Art Association, the Women’s Caucus for Art is a national organization with a multidisciplinary, multicultural membership of artists, art historians, students, educators and museum professionals. The mission of the organization is to expand opportunities and recognition for women in the arts.

The “Layers” exhibition aims to prove that works of art have many layers – layers of interpretation, meaning, emotion and sometimes color and materials.

A reception for the artists is slated 2-5 p.m. Sept. 15 at town hall. The event will feature music by Rebecca and Gary Lee Parks, refreshments and wine. Admission is free and open to all.

A free art walk-and-talk tour of the exhibition is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Jan. 18 at town hall.
