An exhibition of photography artist Bill Scull’s work, “Reflections: Reality Abstracted,” is on display this month at Gallery 9. The show runs through June 2.
An artist’s reception is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday at the gallery.
Scull specializes in travel photography. His work has been exhibited and collected internationally.
“Reflections can be so much more than just mirror-like reproductions of reality,” he said. “For me, they offer surprising abstractions that prompt a new perspective or deeper look. In our daily life, we often ignore reflections as annoying distractions. Lakes, rivers, puddles, polished surfaces of metal, stone and glass – all offer infinite canvases for bending and blending light, color and form.”
Gallery 9 is located at 143 Main St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Vered Binyamini and Patricia Accortini are the featured artists for May at Viewpoints Gallery in downtown Los Altos. Their work is on display through May 30.
A reception for both artists is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Friday at the gallery.
Binyamini’s ceramic work is inspired by her childhood experiences growing up amid African and Middle Eastern cultures.
“Through my art, I express images and emotions that reside within me by projecting them onto clay,” she said. “I am drawn to clay’s simplicity, earthy feel and color. I believe in its healing properties.”
Accortini’s jewelry work also is on display. She has been a member of Viewpoints’ stable of artists since 2014.
Viewpoints Gallery is located at 315 State St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
