Five Los Altos residents recently received plaques acknowledging their homes’ historical status. Three of the homeowners attended a ceremony at the Los Altos History Museum June 5, where Nomi Trapnell, chairwoman of the Los Altos Historical Commission, recognized and thanked them for their commitment to preserving the historical character of their homes. The owners of more than 40 Los Altos homes have now received such plaques. The homes this year included a 1905 farmhouse, a 1913 Craftsman and a 1920 Colonial. The homeowners shared a few personal stories about the history of their homes at the event.
