Pet Ready! event offers emergency information

Adobe and Mid-Peninsula animal hospitals have scheduled their third annual Pet Ready! Day 1-4 p.m. April 19 in Room 8507 in Building 8500-8700 at Foothill College, 12345 S. El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills.

Hosted by the Foothill College Student Chapter of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, the event will feature interactive activities for pet owners designed to teach how to prepare them to handle their animals following an emergency or natural disaster.

Representatives from Adobe and Mid-Peninsula animal hospitals will be on hand to demonstrate bandaging techniques and other preparedness skills. Volunteers with the Los Altos Hills County Fire District and the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Urban Search and Rescue will be available to answer questions and demonstrate a search-and-rescue dog operation.
