The Los Altos School District and the Community Engagement Process Project Team invite the community to participate in the Community Engagement Process to formulate a long-term facility plan to house Bullis Charter School and ensure a top-quality education for all children.
Our primary goal is to ensure that our diverse community’s voice is heard and its ideas included in any long-term facilities plan. Whether or not you have children attending our schools, we value your perspective and welcome your participation in a process to envision the future of education in our neighborhoods.
Please join us for one of the upcoming charrettes (both of these meetings will have the same format, so you only need to attend one):
• 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sept. 25 in the multipurpose room at Blach Intermediate School, 1120 Covington Road, Los Altos
• 9:30-11:30 a.m. Oct. 5 in the multipurpose room at Egan Junior High School, 100 W. Portola Ave., Los Altos
Also, please join us for one of these workshops (both of which will have the same format, so you only need to attend one):
• 9:30-11:30 a.m. Nov. 2 in the multipurpose room at Egan Junior High School
• 6:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in the multipurpose room at Blach Intermediate School
Charrette participants will work in small groups to review previously considered ideas and help generate new ideas for the community to discuss and consider. You will have a chance to evaluate these ideas at subsequent workshops in November, when participants will weigh public support for each idea. Our third-party process consultant and facilitator will then organize and summarize the results, which will be presented to the Los Altos School District Board of Trustees in January.
Jessica Speiser is president of the Los Altos School District Board of Trustees and a member of the Community Engagement Process Project Team. Vladimir Ivanovic is a district trustee and part of the Community Engagement team.
