Beer aficionado Ted Kim celebrated the official opening of Steins Beer Garden Thursday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring members of the Mountain View City Council and a large contingent of residents.

Kim’s establishment at 895 Villa St. boasts 30 microbrews and specialty beers on tap and a 4,000-square-foot beer garden.

For those seeking a bite to eat, chef Colby Reade offers a locally sourced menu of sandwiches, burgers and salads, plus specialty items like house-cured pork belly poutine and pan-roasted game hen with creamy polenta. On the sweeter side, Steins serves homemade doughnuts, a Rogue Chocolate Stout Real Beer Float and caramel apple crisp topped with bourbon pecan ice cream, among other desserts.
