Alain Pinel Realtors, which has an office in Los Altos, is now under the umbrella of New York’s Compass, according to a statement Alain Pinel associates released on social media March 5.
“We are proud to announce that Alain Pinel Realtors has joined Compass,” the public comment reads. “Two innovators, two pioneers in the real estate industry; now one company. We’re excited for the future, and plan to share more news as we move forward.”
Compass’ Bay Area General Manager Kevin Knight expressed optimism about collaborating with Alain Pinel.
“By deepening our presence in the area, Compass will be able to share its top-notch service and tech tools with even more agents,” he wrote in an email. “We know that when we empower agents, their clients reap the benefits and we look forward to enhancing our scope of service in the South Bay.”
Prior to purchasing Alain Pinel Realtors, Compass had 33 offices. Adding Alain Pinel’s realtors to its stable will contribute many “highly respected agents,” Knight said.
“At Compass, we believe that technology can make great agents even better and that agents will play a bigger – not a smaller – role in the future of real estate,” he said. “By partnering with Alain Pinel, we welcome 1,300 highly respected agents who will be a key part of building this future of real estate.”
The staff at Alain Pinel Realtors’ Los Altos office referred the Town Crier to its corporate team for comment on what the acquisition would mean locally. The main office did not respond to a request before the Town Crier’s press deadline.
