Red Berry Coffee Bar has announced it will continue operations after previously saying it would close permanently.

After announcing last month that it would close permanently due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Red Berry Coffee Bar in downtown Los Altos will remain open after all.

In a Sept. 1 Facebook post, a coffee shop representative wrote: “We are so pleased to tell you all that Red Berry will continue operations moving forward. Delicious coffee and food are waiting for you, come on by!”
A week earlier, Red Berry had posted that it would be stay open “one more week.”

Loyal customers posted comments on social media expressing their disappointment at the impending closure. When Red Berry reversed course, patrons cheered.

“Amazing news,” wrote one Facebook commenter. “Red Berry is the pumping heart that gives Main Street its soul.”

The news is a positive business development in Los Altos, which has seen a number of small businesses close as a result of the pandemic.

Red Berry’s owner did not respond to an interview request from the Town Crier.

Red Berry is located at 145 Main St. For more information, visit redberrycoffeebar.com.
