The president and CEO of the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce has resigned after a year on the job.
Bruce Humphrey submitted his resignation to the board of directors executive committee July 31 and plans to leave his position in the second half of September.
“I’ve decided to pursue other opportunities that have recently been presented to me that will allow me to create more ‘white space’ in my life,” Humphrey’s resignation letter read, according to a press release from the Chamber.
Humphrey assumed the top job in August last year, after Tony Siress stepped down. Previously, Humphrey was the Chamber’s head of government affairs.
In coming weeks, the board will establish an interim plan and launch a search for a new leader.
