The Post restaurant in downtown Los Altos is set to present an evening of music and comedy 8 p.m. Saturday, aiming to boost the nightlife scene.

The Post restaurant in downtown Los Altos is scheduled to host a pair of bands and a master of ceremonies doubling as comedic relief 8 p.m. Saturday.

Located at 395 Main St., The Post serves locally sourced comfort food and craft drinks. Owner Vickie Breslin said the event aims to “give the dining and nightlife scene a musical variety twist” by featuring bands Dorian Mode and Lady and The Tramps and comedian Ian Williams.

Dorian Mode, which Breslin described as a “sultry and swinging cabaret combo,” is set to take the stage first, followed by Lady and The Tramps, a Bay Area band that will play a mix of rock, soul and rhythm and blues.

Williams will be onstage periodically throughout the night. A comedian since 1984, he has appeared on MTV, A&E and Showtime. Williams is a San Francisco resident who performs regularly at area comedy clubs such as the Punch Line and Rooster T. Feathers.

For reservations, call The Post at 935-2003.
