Bluestone Lane set to open at old train depot

Megan V. Winslow/Town Crier

A new restaurant is pulling into the old station.

Built circa 1913, the repurposed train depot previously occupied by Voyageur du Temps at 288 First St. in downtown Los Altos will soon house Bluestone Lane, a cafe with outposts in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

The high-end bakery Voyageur du Temps closed in 2018 after a four-year run.

The city of Los Altos’ Building Division recently approved Bluestone Lane’s final plans for the space, though no opening date was given.

“We look forward to this new dining establishment beginning operations in Los Altos and have enjoyed participating in the adaptive reuse of this historic structure,” wrote a Building Division representative on the city’s website.
