Keller Williams Bay Area Estates will expand to Los Altos in early 2018, adding to the realty company’s offices in Los Gatos, Saratoga, Carmel, Burlingame and San Francisco.
According to Mark von Kaenel, operating partner at Keller Williams, extending the company’s services into Los Altos makes good business sense.
“Our ownership group was brought in to elevate the brand, so it’s a natural progression from where we started in Los Gatos and Saratoga,” he said. “These are interesting markets – hyper-individual communities.”
Both Los Gatos and Saratoga share similar small-town charm and attributes that many in Los Altos take pride in, though Los Gatos boasts a bustling nightlife.
After experiencing some of the idiosyncrasies of Silicon Valley’s bedroom communities, Keller Williams is “very committed to not looking like an outsider,” von Kaenel said.
“We’re community-centric, and we want to partner with the right people,” he added.
Although von Kaenel was unable to share the new outpost’s specific location before the Town Crier’s press deadline, he offered a few hints, noting that all of Keller Williams’ offices are “open and modern, to keep our footprint small and get our agents to embrace a more mobile workspace.”
