Letters to the Editor: Masks, election debate

Thanks for wearing masks outdoors

I had an experience this morning that helped a little to restore my flagging faith in humanity. I was cycling on Miramonte Avenue when a pedestrian coming toward me said, “Thank you for wearing a mask.” It was a simple act of kindness and affirmation, unfortunately very rare these days.

Schools community must work together

In the Town Crier’s Oct. 7 editorial endorsing Grace Mah, I was dismayed to see the claim that “helping vulnerable populations” is not something our community needs to be concerned with. Just as bad, in the middle of a pandemic emergency, is the later insinuation that support for and from teachers is a sign of disregard for students and families.

Letters to the editor: Negative campaigning, candidate donations

Negative campaigning has no place in Los Altos
