Updated, 11:11 a.m. Monday: The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office on Monday (June 14) identified a Mountain View woman as the individual whose body was discovered outside the ShowPlace ICON Theatre last week.
Tamar Hakim, 50, died from “multiple blunt force trauma caused by unwitnessed descent from height,” according to the Coroner’s Office.
A runner in the area discovered Hakim’s body near the front doors of the theater, located at 2575 California St., June 9 and called the MVPD, which responded at 6:20 a.m., according to a department press release. Officers and Mountain View Fire Department firefighters subsequently determined the woman was deceased.
Officials closed the parking structure adjacent to the theater until approximately 9 a.m. to process the scene and investigate the death, the release stated.
Last week, before Hakim was identified, the MVPD solicited tips from the public about the woman and the circumstances of her death, but spokesperson Katie Nelson said the department has nothing new to report as of Monday morning.
