The Los Altos Town Crier

Roberts performs Sunday at Foothill; concerts benefit local nursery school

Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players are slated to perform two benefit concerts this weekend in Los Altos Hills.

The family-friendly concerts – which benefit Mountain View Parent Nursery School – are scheduled 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday at Foothill College, 12345 S. El Monte Road.

Roberts, a former Montessori preschool teacher, performs children’s music with a power-pop sound. His up-tempo tunes include “Trick or Treat,” “Willy was a Whale” and “Pop Fly.” He will also perform songs from his latest release, “Recess,” which won a gold medal at the National Parent Publication Awards.

Roberts was nominated for a Grammy in 2010 for his album “Jungle Gym.”

Concert tickets are $14.
