Living Classroom seeks volunteers

Living Classroom has scheduled two spring docent trainings for potential volunteers.

Living Classroom is a group of trained volunteers who teach hands-on garden-based lessons to elementary school students in the Los Altos School District.

Volunteers do not need prior gardening or teaching experience and don’t need to live in Los Altos or have a child in the school district.

The trainings are slated 9 a.m. to noon Monday and March 16 at the Los Altos School District iLearn Studio, 201 Covington Road.

Volunteers commit to six hours of work per month, split across three lessons.

San Antonio Road; Area 151, 359 State St.; Linden Tree Books, 265 State St.; Eye Lite Optometry, 286 State St.; Starbucks, 296 Main St.; Mikado Japanese Restaurant, 161 Main St.; Heritage Bank of Commerce, 419 S. San Antonio Road; or Loyola School, 770 Berry Ave. In Mountain View, drop off donations at Starbucks, El Camino Real and El Monte Avenue; or Pure Storage, 650 Castro St.
