The Los Altos Senior Center is located at Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

Presentations

• 12:30 p.m. today: “Ancient Balkans to Modern Albania: History, Art and People,” with Dr. Kathleen Cohen.

• 12:30 p.m. March 19: “Could It Be Depression?” with Richard Winetzky of the Older Adult Transitions Service program at El Camino Hospital and Elizabeth Medina of the Community Services Agency.

• 12:30 p.m. April 9: “linkAges,” with staff from the Palo Alto Medical Foundation’s David Druker Center for Health Systems Innovation.

• 10 a.m. April 5: “Be Prepared: Emergency Packs for Seniors,” with guest speakers who will explain the emergency supplies included in packs for seniors.

Classes

• “Ten Weeks to Play Better Bridge,” 9-11 a.m. Mondays, through May 19. Cost is $90 members, $95 nonmembers.

• “Intermediate Bridge,” 9:15 a.m. to noon Thursdays, ongoing. Cost is $5 per session members, $7 nonmembers.

• “Mah-Jongg Beginning Lessons,” 1-3:30 p.m. Thursdays, ongoing. Cost is $1 per session members, $3 nonmembers.

• “Tai Chi for Life,” 12:45-1:45 p.m. Tuesdays through April 1. Cost is $10 per class members, $12 nonmembers.

• “Line Dancing,” 1-2 p.m. Tuesdays, ongoing. Cost is $6 per class members, $8 nonmembers.

• “Fit-Fun-Friends,” 2-3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through April 2. Cost is $136 members, $150 nonmembers. Held in the Los Hills Town Hall Council Chambers, 26379 W. Fremont Road.
