Friday: 1 p.m., birthday bingo, celebrating February birthdays.

Feb. 18: 1 p.m., armchair travel with Maureen Jones, featuring the sights of Tasmania.

Feb. 22: noon, Senior Coordinating Council meeting, featuring information on "Senior Services in the 21st century."

Feb. 25: Noon, Friday luncheon featuring oven-fried chicken. Reservations are required. Cost is $3 for members, $6 for guests.

Mtn. View Senior Center

Thursday: 1 p.m., presentation of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).

Sunday: 2 p.m., Valentine's Day dance with the Stardusters Band. Admission is $3 per person.

Tuesday: 11:15 a.m., newcomers group tour of the senior center.

Feb. 20: 2 p.m., video Sunday with "The Other Sister." The film is 130 minutes long and rated PG-13. Admission is 50 cents.

Feb. 27: 1:30 p.m., musical Sunday with pianist Alexander Bootzin performing light classical music. The program costs $1.

The Los Altos Senior Center is located in the Hillview Community Center, 97 Hillview Ave., in Los Altos. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 948-7483.

55-Alive mature driving classes March 13 and 20, and April 10 and 12, 6-10 p.m. Cost is $10.

Tax preparation assistance, provided by AARP volunteers, is available Friday mornings through April 14.
