Senior Lifestyles

Seniors Briefs

Following is a list of special events for the month:

Nov. 29: 12:30 to 2 p.m., flu shots will be offered. Shots are free to current Los Altos Senior Center members, but a donation is appreciated. A $5 donation is requested from non-members. Preference will be given to those over age 55.

Notes: Seniors who need help with projects around the house should contact St. Joseph the Worker Center in Mountain View at 962-1902. The center will help arrange for one-time only assistance, like cleaning out the garage or ongoing assistance with gardening or housekeeping. The fee depends on the work requested.

In-home repair: The Senior Center has volunteers who will come to your home and do minor repairs. They will perform tasks such as replacing a leaky faucet washer or changing a burnt-out florescent light tube. They will not do major home repairs.
