Cadillac will introduce a new model four-door sedan this fall made in Germany. It has a new name, Catera, and the suggested retail price is $29,995.
The Catera will have a 200-horsepower V-6 engine and it will be the only Cadillac in the line that does not have a V-8 engine.
The price does not include leather upholstery, a popular choice among the buyers of sporty luxury sedans like the Eldorado Coupe or the Seville STS.
When the destination charge of $640 is placed on the car it brings the cost to $30,635, but the Catera will be $7,025 less than the lowest priced U.S. built Cadillac, the De Ville sedan at $37,660, which includes the freight.
