MV library hosts winter tree walk

The Mountain View Public Library and Mountain View Trees have scheduled a winter tree walk 1 p.m. Saturday, meeting in the library lobby at 585 Franklin St.

Arborists from Mountain View Trees will lead the ramble through the sleeping trees of Pioneer Park to increase participants’ appreciation of the urban forest.

Hot cider and baked goods will be served.

All ages are welcome, as are pets on leash. The walk will take place rain or shine.

Registration is optional but encouraged.

Tied House fundraiser benefits CSA

Tied House Brewery & Cafe is participating in a Holiday Giving Tree fundraiser through Dec. 20 that supports the Community Services Agency (CSA).

Tied House guests can pose for an instant photo of themselves for $5 and place the photo on the Tied House Christmas tree. The restaurant will donate all proceeds from the campaign to CSA.

CSA provides a social-service safety net for residents of Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills. The nonprofit agency’s clients include children, working-poor families and seniors.

Tied House is located at 954 Villa St., Mountain View.
