Chamber of Commerce Mountain View has scheduled the 42nd Annual Mountain View Art & Wine Festival Sept. 7 and 8 on Castro Street.
The festival is the chamber’s largest fundraiser, enabling it to provide services, programs and scholarships in the community.
The event evolved from a small street fair just a few blocks long to one of the country’s largest art festivals. The gathering includes live music, an assortment of wine and beer, a diverse selection of food vendors and more than 600 artists showcasing fine arts, handmade jewelry and accessories, clothing and more.
“We continue the tradition of highlighting the region’s best artists, wine and food,” said Oscar Garcia, chamber CEO.
According to Garcia, the lineup will expand this year with the addition of salsa music.
“Salsa is a very popular genre, especially in the Bay Area,” he said. “This year’s Art & Wine Festival will be a celebration for everyone to enjoy.”
