Secret Spots: Francesca's Bar, Mtn. View

Photos by Eliza Ridgeway/Town Crier
Brewmasters from around the Bay Area convened at Francesca’s Bar at 2135 Old Middlefield Way Oct. 3 for a “Craft Beer Throwdown,” cheering for their creations in the Double IPA Taste Contest. Civilians who joined the event heard creation stories about their pints – Calicraft’s Blaine Landberg, top left, brought a bucket of the starthistle honey that goes into his Buzzerkeley Belgian Strong Pale Ale. Town Crier

Looks like a sports bar, tastes like a craft beer paradise. Bright-colored sports on the big screens share space with a chalkboard listing 27 constantly rotating taps, with some of the lowest prices in the area.
