Maltby's offers nightly happy hour

Maltby’s Restaurant and Tavern in downtown Los Altos welcomes new and current customers to a nightly happy hour, scheduled 8-10 p.m.

Owner James Maltby said the happy hour will include $5 drinks and half-price bar-menu items, including grilled fish tacos, crab cakes, chicken wings and calamari.

“This is in response to local requests,” he said of the special, which he launched Tuesday.

Maltby said he wanted to tap into the 20-something crowd, offering an environment where young residents can “hang out and have a few beers” at an affordable price.

Maltby’s Restaurant and Tavern is located at 101 Plaza North in downtown Los Altos, off Fourth Street between State Street and Edith Avenue.
