Age 95, preceded in death by her parents, John and Isabelle Coullie, her husband, Dr. Claude Rabert Snead, and her sister Maisie Bicking.
Survived by daughter Margaret Patricia Odden-Kaye of Novato, son Bruce C. Snead of Manhattan, Kansas, granddaughter Erica H. Odden and great granddaughter MacKensie F. Stevens of Novato, grandson, Braden T. Snead of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and her niece, Mary Ann Stygstra of Holland, Michigan.
Born May 7, 1918 in Chicago, Margaret spent her youth in Irving Park, and then attended Chicago Teacher’s College, becoming a teacher by trade and in spirit. She married Claude on April 11, 1944. They lived in Elmhurst, Illinois until 1960 when they moved to Mountain View, California. Margaret helped form the El Camino Hospital Auxiliary, in which she was very active for many years. Upon Claude’s retirement, they moved to Carmel Valley fulfilling her dream of being close to the ocean that she loved so much. They returned to the Bay area in 1992 to live at the new Forum, where she and Claude were loved and cared for by family, care takers and staff. She joined Claude in Gate of Heaven cemetery April 12, and they will enjoy the view of the Cupertino hills together, forever.
