Ruthann grew up in Kenilworth, Illinois and graduated from Marymount College, New York in 1948. She raised her children, the grandchildren of Denis and Edith Renuart, in Miami, FL, and then settled in Los Altos, CA where Ruthann spent the last 40 years of her life.
Ruthann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A strong and independent woman, Ruthann was an avid tennis player with a wicked lob, a master bridge player, loved the adventures of world travel, enjoyed cooking, relished politics, and was a relentless reader.
Ruthann is survived by her five children (Gene Renuart, Elizabeth Renuart, Debbie Gomulinski, Mary Renuart, and David Renuart), 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
We send her off on her next journey to reunite with her true love and a great Irishman, Dick Lynch. Their favorite Irish blessing: “ May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand!”;
A Memorial Service will be held at St Nicholas Church, 473 Lincoln Ave, Los Altos, CA on May 2nd at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House at www.RMHC.org or call 630-623-8391.
