Lucile “Lucy” Teresa Hillestad, 81, of Woodruff passed away peacefully March 5, 2014.

Lucy was born in Mazomanie, WI to Gertrude and Frank Wolf on February 19, 1933. Lucy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.

She loved singing in the church choir, cooking, baking, fishing and being with her “Family”. She was a Life Master Bridge player, very involved with Republican Women’s Group, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and for many years an elected official for the city of Los Altos Hills, CA – holding the position of Councilwoman and Mayor. At the age of 60 she went back to the University of Wisconsin –Richland Center and completed her Bachelors of Science degree, a lifetime goal.  Lucy, a Master Herbalist, was the co-founder and had daily involvement in Hillestad Pharmaceuticals – Manufacturers of Nutritional Products. Lucy was a leader in the community and a member of many clubs and organizations.

Lucy is survived by her Husband of 60 years, Donald Hillestad, her Children, Dan Hillestad, SueMarie Green (Lenny), Judy McCartney (Ron) and Linda Chase, as well as four Grandchildren – Ryan, Kendra, Kyle and Kelly and Siblings Mary Riedy, John Wolf (Alena) and Josephine Heyden.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, March 11th at Holy Family Church in Woodruff, WI.
