Hilda Whitt passed away on February 8 at age 97.

She is survived by daughters June Henderson, Delphine Winstead, and Esme Scanlin, son-in-laws Neil Henderson, Jim Winstead, Dave Scanlin, niece Gaynor Turner, grandchildren Blake Henderson, Yale Henderson, Matt Winstead, Jennifer Scanlin, and Todd Scanlin, and four Great Grandchildren, MacIntyre Henderson, Shaye Henderson, Riley Henderson and Ameilia Henderson. She was one of six children and her brother Ted Turner, age 99, still lives in Wales.

Hilda is predeceased by her husband John, daughter Pam Blake, grandson John Blake, and granddaughter Carrie Scanlin.

Hilda was born in Cardiff Wales and came to the US in 1948.   She settled in Los Altos in 1955, where she raised her family and was a resident there for 35 years. She worked at Eastman Kodak in Palo Alto for over 25 years, and retired in 1982.

For the past year, Hilda was a resident of Bridgepoint Retirement Community in Los Altos. Always full of energy, Hilda was in good health all of her life. In the past year her activities slowed down, and a week before her death she suffered a mild stroke and never fully recovered.

Hilda was interred next to her husband, John, at Alta Mesa Memorial Park in Palo Alto.

She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
