OBIT HarrietSmith1
OBIT HarrietSmith2

It is with great sadness that the Vanneman Family announces the passing of Harriett W. Smith. Harriett was born in Oroville, CA on Feb. 2, 1922. She attended the University of Nevada at Reno and was a flight attendant with TWA. Harriett had resided in Los Altos for nearly half a century.

Ever since she was a young girl Harriett enjoyed spending summers at the family cabin at Bucks Lake and continued to go there until just a few years ago.

Harriett was blessed with many years of a happy marriage to retired Rear Admiral Stuart Smith who predeceased her. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother. Her family includes sons Tony, Mike and Bob, grandchildren Mike, Garrett, Brad, Emily, Courtney, Lindsey, Kelly, Tim and Casey and great grandchildren Collin, June, Brayden and Avery. She is also survived by her older sister, Lee, who lives in Santa Barbara CA. She will be missed all who knew her.
