Perry William Taub, a long time resident of Los Altos, passed away unexpectedly in Rancho Mirage, California at the age of 56. Perry William Taub was born on April 21, 1956 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Theodore and Judith Taub. The entire family moved to Los Altos, California in 1959 when his father, Theodore Taub, was hired by Lockheed Aerospace. The family lived in 1470 Hollidale Ct in Los Altos for over 40 years. Perry grew up in Los Altos, where he attended Homestead High School. After graduation he attended UC Santa Cruz where he obtained a B.A. in Psychology. He initially became involved in the hotel management in San Francisco. Later on he became a health insurance broker. He established his own company, Taub and associates, which helped to establish health insurance programs for hotel industries in North America. This was an important antecedent to Obama Care, which is now being established nationally. Perry will be missed by his partner Charles Church, his brother John, his sister Mary, and all of the neighbors that he continually visited over the years.
Services were held on February 28 at the Hills of Eternity Memorial Park in Colma, California.
