The Japanese group and their hosts gathered at Prusch Farm Park for the dedication of a fruitless mulberry tree, planted in the Friendship Force’s Friendship Forest in honor of the Sapporo club.

Los Altos Junior Girl Scout Troop 61077 recently earned the Bronze Award, which involves developing and implementing a 40-hour service project with lasting impact.

The troop set out to help local residents in need of food and shelter and reached out to Community Services Agency to see how they could accomplish their goal. The troop learned that the line for services can be long, sometimes wrapping around CSA’s building and parking lot. The troop decided to purchase and install benches for clients to sit on while they wait.
