Penn State honors Krause as Alumni Fellow
The Penn State Alumni Association last month honored Los Altos Hills resident Gay Krause as an Alumni Fellow for her outstanding professional accomplishments.
Krause, a graduate of Pennsylvania State University’s College of Education, is executive director of the Krause Center for Innovation (KCI) at Foothill College.
KCI’s mission is to design and implement innovative professional development education and training.
Prior to her position with KCI, Krause was a teacher, counselor, assistant principal and principal at Graham Middle School in Mountain View.
She is founder and former chairwoman of the Mountain View-Los Altos Challenge Team, which supports at-risk youth.
With their $6.5 million gift, Krause and her husband, Bill, supported the recently opened Krause Innovation Studio, located on the Penn State campus. The studio helps faculty members support their classes via technology such as digital video, Web 2.0 tools and mobile and ubiquitous computing.
