Monterey Bay Aquarium appoints Neal chairman
The nonprofit Monterey Bay Aquarium’s 17-member board of trustees unanimously selected Los Altos attorney Stephen C. Neal to succeed Dr. Peter Bing as chairman of the board of trustees. Bing has served as board chairman since the death of the aquarium’s benefactor David Packard in 1996 and will continue as chairman emeritus.
Neal has been on the aquarium board since 1998, serving as vice chairman since May 2011.
Neal is partner and chairman at the Cooley LLP law firm, which represents business clients in the U.S. and abroad. The National Law Journal in March recognized Neal as one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America.
