Music for Minors director invited to Harvard forum
Harvard Business School’s Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management selected Music for Minors Executive Director Sonja Palmer to participate in its program July 14-20.
Palmer will join 140 nonprofit leaders at the program, which provides a forum for senior executives to examine their nonprofits’ missions and develop new implementation strategies in the face of changing operational environments and rising financial pressure. The Center for Excellence in Nonprofits nominated Palmer and will help sponsor her participation.
Music for Minors provides music education programs in elementary schools in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties, reaching 17,000 students from kindergarten through fifth grade. Palmer said she hopes to hone her management skills through the opportunity and assist Music for Minors as it transitions to a larger scale.
