Bob and Sue Larson, 50 years
Bob and Sue Larson of Los Altos Hills celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 20.
They met at Stanford University, where Sue was an undergraduate and Bob was a graduate student in electrical engineering. They married in Tacoma, Wash., moved to California and have lived locally ever since.
The Larsons have three children: Carrie (Stuart) Jenner of Normandy Park, Wash.; Cindy (Andrew) Fletcher of Mountain View; and Erik (Pamela) Larson of Woodside; and six grandchildren.
The couple are longtime members of Bridges Community Church of Los Altos and supporters of the Community School of Music and Arts. CSMA honored them at its 2013 Gala and established a scholarship in their name.
Bob served as president of IEEE in the 1980s, and has spent the past few decades working in venture capital.
The Larsons celebrated with their children at The Sea by Alexander’s Steakhouse and plan to take a cruise to Alaska and Canada later in the summer with their children and grandchildren.
