Mercifully in His grip: Exploring our true position in Christ

"Turk & Runt" part of "Stories on Stage" series

Peninsula Youth Theatre has scheduled four performances of “Turk & Runt” this weekend at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts.

Peninsula Youth Theatre presents the Thanksgiving comedy “Turk & Runt” in four performances scheduled Friday and Saturday in Mountain View.

Adapted by Dexter Fidler from the book by Lisa Wheeler, “Turk & Runt” is part of Peninsula Youth Theatre’s “Stories on Stage” program, 45-minute dramatizations of award-winning children’s literature.

Turk stands out in every crowd, impressing the football coach and the ballet teacher with his powerful drumsticks.

But as feast-filled holidays near, his overlooked little brother Runt realizes that acclaim might not be what it seems.

Will the birdbrains who live at Wishbone Farm heed Runt’s warnings?

Performances are scheduled 9:30 and 11 a.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St.

Tickets are $8.

For tickets and more information, call 903-6000 or visit pytnet.org.
