The Palo Alto Players production of “Miss Saigon,” which opened last weekend, is scheduled to run through May 12 at the Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.
From the creators of “Les Miserables,” the modern musical tells the tale of an American soldier and a Vietnamese bar girl who fall in love in 1975, only to be separated in the chaos of the fall of Saigon. Despite years struggling to find one another, their lives unfold apart – he lives stateside, married to another, while she raises the child he never knew he had – until their paths finally cross again.
Patrick Klein makes his Palo Alto Players directing debut. Danny Gould stars as soldier Chris and Katherine Dela Cruz plays bar girl Kim. The cast also features Brian Palac (nightclub owner), Adrien Gleason (John), Lindsay Stark (Ellene) and Paul Villareal (Thuy).
Shows are scheduled 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $32, with discounts for students, seniors and groups.
