LAYT’s ‘Green Gables’ closes Saturday night at Bus Barn

This is the final weekend to catch Los Altos Youth Theatre’s production of “Anne of Green Gables” at Bus Barn Theater.

Adapted by Joseph Robinette from L.M. Montgomery’s novel of the same name, “Gables” is set in the town of Avonlea on Prince Edward Island.

The play follows the adventures of orphan Anne Shirley, who is sent to live with Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert by mistake but soon charms them and the community with her fiery spirit and imagination.

Directed by Emily Jordan, the cast features actors from Los Altos and surrounding cities.

Performances are scheduled 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Bus Barn Theater is located at 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.

Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 children, students and seniors.
