Bus Barn Stage Company’s production of “A Tuna Christmas” opened last week and is scheduled to run through Dec. 18 in Los Altos.
The comedy by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard centers on the zany citizens of Tuna – a small town in Texas – as they prepare to celebrate Christmas. But times are tough. They learn – through periodic bulletins from radio station OKKK – that the Christmas Phantom is desecrating yard displays, “Silent Night” is being censored and the town clerk is threatening to pull the plug on Joe Bob Lipsey’s Christmas play.
Kevin Hull and Derek McCaw star in the homage to Christmas kitsch, directed by Barbara J. Cannon.
Performances are scheduled 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays (except Thanksgiving), 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5 and 12, and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1, 8 and 15 at the Bus Barn Theater, 97 Hillview Ave. Tickets are $15-$30.
