The Los Altos Tennis Club has scheduled a mixed-doubles tournament 10 a.m. to noon May 11 on the courts at Los Altos High School. A light lunch follows. The event emphasizes “sociability and enjoyment,” according to organizers. Cost is $10 for club members, $15 for nonmembers. To register as a doubles team or individually, contact Bill Powell at 941-1934 or mbpowell@comcast.
Registration is open for AYSO Region 43’s fall soccer season. The region serves boys and girls in grades K-12 who live in northern Los Altos and Los Altos Hills. AYSO follows six philosophies: everyone plays, player development, positive coaching, good sportsmanship, balanced teams and open registration. The registration fee is discounted if paid by May 20.
