Wrestling with success

Blach Intermediate School eighth-grader Austin Sonnentag recently won league and section titles in wrestling. Undefeated in the 175-pound class during the regular season, his lone loss of the year came at the hands of the county champion.

LL softball sign-ups

Los Altos & Los Altos Hills Little League is registering players for girls T-ball and softball. The spring season is open to girls ages 5-12. New and experienced players are welcome. To register and for more information, visit losaltoslittleleague.com.

Volleyball clinics

Aloha Volleyball Club, directed by Los Altos High girls coach Peter Kim, has scheduled five three-session clinics on the basic fundamentals of volleyball. The clinics, open to boys and girls 14 and under, are scheduled three Sundays a month through May at Santa Clara High. Cost is $40 per clinic or $100 for three sessions. PONY up for baseball

Los Altos-Mountain View PONY Baseball registration has opened for the spring season. The league is for boys and girls ages 5-19. Practice begins in March and the season runs through June. To register and for more information, visit lamvpb.org.

The Los Altos Tennis Club seeks new members. The long-standing club schedules several tennis matches through the year, along with charity and social events. All-Century noms sought

The California Interscholastic Federation is accepting nominations for its All-Century Teams. The CIF governs the state’s high school sports. Former student-athletes who demonstrated significant athletic contributions in CIF-approved sports are eligible and anyone can nominate a student-athlete they deem worthy. Winter sports nominations will be accepted through February and spring nominations March through May (fall sports nominations have closed). Voting will take place during the next school year.
