Holiday hoops camp

Spartans Sports Camp’s second Coed Holiday Basketball Camp is scheduled 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 26-28 and 30-31 at Mountain View High, 3535 Truman Ave. It is open to boys and girls in grades 4-8. Mountain View High coaches and alumni will teach participants how to improve their shooting, ball handling, defense and other skills. Registration is $195; partial sessions may be prorated. Tree for sports

The MVLA High School Christmas Tree Lot is open for business at the corner of El Camino Real and El Monte Avenue in Mountain View. Hours are 4-7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends. Volleyball openings

The Aloha Volleyball Club, directed by Los Altos High girls coach Peter Kim, has open positions on several teams, from 12 Pink (Area level) to 18 Aloha (Power). For more information, visit alohavbc.com.

PONY up for baseball

Los Altos-Mountain View PONY Baseball registration has opened for the spring season. The league is for boys and girls ages 5-19. Practice begins in March and the season runs through June. To register and for more information, visit lamvpb.org.

Softball sign-ups

Mountain View-Los Altos Girls Softball is registering players for the spring season. The league is open to girls 5-16. No experience necessary; everyone plays. Clinics are offered to develop skills. To register and for more information, visit mvlags.org.

CIF seeks All-Century noms

The California Interscholastic Federation is accepting nominations for its All-Century Teams. The CIF governs the state’s high school sports. Former student-athletes who demonstrated significant athletic contributions in CIF-approved sports are eligible and anyone can nominate a student-athlete they deem worthy. Winter sports nominations will be accepted through February and spring nominations March through May (fall sports nominations closed in November). Voting will take place during the next school year.
