Pathways Hospice offers book club
Pathways Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty has scheduled a Faith and Grief Workshop Book Club intended to explore the writings of people of deep faith who have experienced profound grief.
Led by Pathways Hospice bereavement staff members Tanya Gulevich and Lindsey Reed, the next session is slated 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Pathways offices at 585 N. Mary Ave. in Sunnyvale.
Books selected for discussion include “When Bad Things Happen to Good People” (Random House, 1978) by Harold S. Kushner and “A Grace Disguised” (Zondervan, 2005) by Jerry Sittser.
The Faith and Grief Workshop Book Club is one of 10 workshops offered by Pathways Hospice as part of the Pathways 2012 Summer Grief Workshop Series. Other offerings include Mediation, Guided Imagery, Silent Writing, Memorial Garden and Healing Drum Rhythms. The workshops are designed to provide creative and/or reflective outlets to those grieving the loss of a loved one.
