Almond students perform ‘Peter Pan’

The Almond Drama Club is scheduled to perform "Peter Pan" twice this month.

More than 75 students have worked over several months to bring "Peter Pan" to the stage for the public.

Performances are scheduled 6:30 p.m Friday and 7 p.m. Saturday.

LAKA summer classes open for registration

Los Altos KidzAdventures (LAKA) offers a variety of summer enrichment classes for students entering grades 1-4.

Classes are scheduled 8:30 a.m. to noon June 15-July 10 at Santa Rita School, 700 Los Altos Ave., Los Altos. Credentialed teachers teach all classes.

Reading, writing and math classes are designed for all ability levels – to give a boost or create a challenge. Other LAKA offerings include Awesome Art, Outdoor Games, Spectacular Space, Intriguing Insects, Scrapbooking and Computers.

LAKA also offers a support program for first- and second-grade students through Phonemic Awareness, Reading into First and Reading into Second classes. Support classes feature a 1:8 teacher to student ratio.

ScholarKids offers summer camp

ScholarKids, a summer enrichment program for incoming fifth- through eighth-graders, is scheduled to present a variety of classes. All classes are currently open, but several sections are nearly full and will close soon.

Available classes include: Master Chefs, Speech and Debate, You Be the Judge, Arts and Crafts, Mini-Economy, iMovie Stop Action Movies, Fun!Fun!Fun!, CSI Los Altos, Woodworking and Rocketry, Architectural Design and Lego Robotics.

Classes are scheduled 8:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. June 15-July 10 at Egan Junior High, 100 W. Portola Ave., Los Altos. Credentialed teachers teach all classes.

Each class is $150 for a two-week session.
